With his recent prolificness and widespread acclaim, it’s easy to forget that Jauz is still a fairly new artist however, the nature of “Rock The Party” provides a thoughtful reminder of that fact. Commencing with a razor-sharp, frenetic dubstep drop and progressing to culminate in a psychotic, steady-beat bass drop, Vogel’s VIP will surely have a place in his sets, but may evade the main stage. The VIP, however, may be a bit too polarizing for some supporters of the original. Vogel’s original mix of “Rock The Party” achieved massive success this summer due to its masterful marriage of bass and main stage house motifs, garnering widespread support from a variety of artists ranging from Zeds Dead to Tiësto. Sam Vogel’s latest release, a VIP mix of his Ephwurd collaboration “Rock The Party,” undeniably falls into the latter category. Though he has publicly refuted the notion of being pigeonholed to a certain genre, Jauz has largely gained popularity from his accomplishments in two distinct genres: bassline house and raucous, dubstep-inspired bass music.
